Kaleidoscope Art Therapy and Counseling is looking to add a passionate art therapist or counselor to our team in Herndon VA. Kaleidoscope specializes in working with neurodivergent children and adults and those who have experienced trauma. This is a part time W2 position with the opportunity to create your own schedule and develop a strong sense of work-life balance.

• Provide in person therapy sessions at our Herndon office and virtual sessions as needed. Starting with 5 client hours a week with the chance to expand.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs, goals, and treatment plans, as well as working with the client to understand their goals.
• Coordinate with parents and other mental health professionals, such as psychologists, school counselors, and psychiatrists to develop integrated treatment plans.

• Must have an active license in VA - LPC, LMFT, or LCSW. Current residents in counseling are welcome to apply.
• Certification as an Art Therapist (ATR- P, ATR or ATR-BC) or play therapist preferred.
• Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience (post graduation) working with clients ages 6+.
• Strong understanding of neurodivergent populations, an understanding of the neurodivergent paradigm, and a willingness to work under this model.
• Strong understanding of trauma informed therapy.
• 70- 90 dollars per client hour with the opportunity to increase pay with time, experience, and training.
• Stipend for CEUs., SIMPLE IRA with 3% company match.
