PositionResponsibilities
The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) will work in a hybrid capacity out of our Herndon, VA HQ to execute our human capital strategy and align business objectives with employees and management for the designated business units (BUs) they support. This position serves as a frontline consultant to the business, supporting managers in creating a positive employee experience and advising on all people-related needs.
The successful HRBP will act as a change agent and employee advocate, assessing and anticipating talent needs while being the go-to expert on all HR-related matters. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a global workforce in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and collaborate closely with HR Centers of Excellence (including Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and Global Learning) to ensure Deltek delivers cutting-edge human capital initiatives that drive business results.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Serve as the HR advisor to a subset of leaders on issues relating to change management, organizational design, performance enablement, and internal communications.
- Partner with business leaders to develop and execute talent strategies that support business growth.
- Guide, manage, and resolve employee relations issues, including conducting thorough and objective investigations.
- Partner with HR and BU leadership to implement and deliver HR programs, including talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, and skills assessment and development.
- Review and analyze business metrics, including data on retention and employee experience, to recommend systemic improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, local legislation, and labor laws to reduce legal risks and ensure compliance. Collaborate with the Legal department as needed.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and development support to management and employees as needed.
- Work with the Lead and Regional HRBP team to ensure alignment on goals and global initiatives, share updates, and address concerns.
- Oversee the offboarding process for North America, ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.
- Lead or contribute to cross-team and cross-organizational HR projects.
- Serve as a Culture Champion by promoting and modeling Deltek s values.
- 5 to 7 years of HRBP responsibility, a strong preference in the software or technology sector.
- Experience working with global teams and driving organizational change initiatives.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience required; HR Certification(s) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, compensation practices, organizational design, and performance management, with a solid understanding of employment laws.
- Strong experience with employee relations practices, investigations, and disciplinary actions required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and forecast business trends using both data and anecdotal evidence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express and logically articulate a point of view.
- Strong business acumen, understanding of business and organizational programs and operations, and effectively leading and motivating toward goals.
- Proven ability to act as a change agent, enabling and uniting employees to work effectively through change to meet business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to create scalable, customer-focused HR processes.
