Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a dedicated Schedule Forecast Analyst to support Program Managers in projecting schedules, identifying blockers, mitigating risks, preparing presentations, and streamlining operational processes. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in data management, scheduling tools, and project development workflows. The candidate must demonstrate expertise with Microsoft Planner, Microsoft PowerPoint, and a solid understanding of development methodologies in dynamic, high-performance environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Forecasting & Management
  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules for ongoing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team leads to collect and integrate schedule data.
  • Analyze schedule dependencies and impacts, providing actionable insights to Leads and Program Management.
  • Proactively identify scheduling risks, blockers, and resource bottlenecks; work with program stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define and implement mitigation strategies.
Data Management
  • Utilize Microsoft Planner to build, query, and maintain databases for tracking project metrics, performance indicators, and resource allocations.
  • Regularly ensure data integrity, compliance with internal standards, and alignment with program requirements.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations for stakeholder meetings, project updates, and client interactions.
  • Deliver key insights and visualized data summaries to support DPM and Program Management decision-making.
  • Provide transparency on project progress, risks, and blockers to both leadership and execution teams.
Development Integration
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance project workflows and ensure smooth collaboration across development, operations, and program management functions.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring development project plans, workflows, and milestones.
  • Support efforts to align schedules with development priorities while managing constraints and dependencies.
Communication & Liaison
  • Act as a key point of contact for schedule updates, alignment, and resolving conflicts between program requirements and team execution.
  • Communicate risks, blockers, potential delays, and mitigation strategies effectively to stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.
  • Promote a collaborative problem-solving culture within projects and programs.
Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field applicable to the position; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Active TS clearance with eligibility for SCI and successful completion of a polygraph.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Planner design, query, and manage databases.
  • Advanced knowledge of creating visually compelling presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience in schedule forecasting, risk identification, and management in a project-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with the principles of software or system development processes.
  • Strong ability to identify blockers, propose practical solutions, and rally stakeholders toward resolving them.
  • Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience supporting program or project managers in a government or defense contracting environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with schedule management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
  • Experience with DoD/DIA CIO or similar government agency support functions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in fast‑paced, complex environments.
