DevSecOps Engineer

Cutting Edge Communications has an opening for a Dev Sec Ops  Engineer! As a member of our team, you’ll support our client in a vital role in advancing innovative technologies. As a Dev Sec Ops  Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based solutions in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. You will collaborate closely with software developers and cybersecurity to integrate security into every phase of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), automating security controls, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud-based architectures in AWS, ensuring compliance with organizational and federal security standards.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS Cloud Formation, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines by integrating security tools and processes for continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and compliance enforcement.
• Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python to streamline deployment and operational processes.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to embed Dev Sec Ops  best practices within the SDLC, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI (CI polygraph highly desired)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services (such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Cloud Watch, IAM, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python for system automation, scripting, and tool development.
• Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (using tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or similar) with integrated security controls.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Final pay is based upon years of experience, qualifications such as education and relevant certifications, and market conditions.
