Cloud Engineer

Clearance: ACTIVE TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly required.

And their work depends on a Cloud Engineer joining our team to support Government activities at Herndon, VA.

As a Mission Cloud Engineer supporting the customer, you will develop and maintain high visibility cloud-based IT systems. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Providing support for development in or transition to the cloud, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Managing system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

• Demonstrated Linux (CentOS) skills
• Demonstrated shell scripting (bash, sh, etc.)
• Demonstrated AWS services (EC2s, S3, KMS, Cloud formation, VPC)
• Demonstrated experience with Dev Ops Tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Sonar Qube, Puppet)
• Demonstrated experience with Apache Tomcat and HTTPD
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including OS and networking
• Demonstrated experience writing technical documentation and presentations
• Strong written and oral skills
• Comfortable presenting to all levels of expertise

• Demonstrated experience with monitoring/metrics collection (Icinga, Prometheus)
• Demonstrated configuration and management of Cisco Devices (ASA, Switches)
• Demonstrated skills with RDS (Oracle, MySQL)
• Demonstrated Windows Server (2012, 2016) knowledge
• Demonstrated development using Capistrano

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Minimum of 15 years related experience.
