Advanced Security System Engineering Specialist, ASSET

Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves customers and developers who rely on storage, compute, and other service capabilities. AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Security Services Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team.

As a Security Services Specialist, you will be tasked with driving operational security excellence within Data Centers while working with partner teams and leaders. The ideal candidate will manage communications and provide services as required, suggest improvements on electronic surveillance and access controls, write and implement security process and procedures, extract metrics, and observe improvements with hard data.

• You will manage a chat queue, phone communications, generate and/or manage trouble tickets, handle incoming chats, and provide support to customers.
• Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness.
• Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction/development of performance metrics.
• Configure physical security devices including cameras, readers, and panels.
• Support daily operational security across a data center campus.
• Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.

• Experience with physical security best practices, including application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and management of contract security guards.
• 1+ years' experience in an operations center, control room environment, or technical support environment.
• 2+ years' experience with intrusion detection (alarm systems) and video monitoring systems (CCTV).

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors experience.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
