Overview
Expedition Technology (EXP) is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to join our team to provide Dev Sec Ops as part of an exciting new program in support of DoW strategic objectives. In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to rapidly develop and ship prototype systems to address the needs of the modern warfighter. As part of this effort, you will be asked to containerize existing Python applications and models and deploy them to Kubernetes.
You would also be expected to support application developers and model builders via developing advanced tooling and CI pipelines to accelerate our workflows.
Job Duties
- Writing and reviewing Python code.
- Container development and orchestration (Docker, Helm, Kubernetes/Rancher, ArgoCD)
- Develop and deploy Dev Sec Ops capabilities within a multi-project, multi-team environment
- Understanding git workflows (branching, etc.) and release engineering approaches to software development
- Delivering infrastructure-as-code solutions using Cloud Formation, Terraform, and/or Packer
- Troubleshooting Linux system networking, storage, and related services (i.e., HTTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANs, etc.)
- Working within the constraints of NIST 800-53, 800-171, CMMC, or related compliance policies (e.g., CIS)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
- Understanding git workflows (branching, etc.) and release engineering approaches to software development
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in each of the following:
- Git workflows (branching, etc.) and release engineering approaches to software development
- Building highly automated infrastructure and cloud‑native applications deployed to a major cloud provider
- Delivering infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using Cloud Formation, Terraform, and/or Packer
- Advanced skills and expertise in troubleshooting Linux system networking, storage, and related services (i.e., HTTP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANs, etc.)
- Writing and reviewing professional grade Python code with testing
- Familiarity with harnessing LLMs to produce reliable and coherent code
- Knowledge of AWS architecture, security, IAM roles and policies
- Familiarity with data curation for the development of machine learning models
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, specifically with writing and deploying Helm Charts
