Technical Training Manager - AWS Data Center Operations

You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to help deliver safety and security at the lowest possible cost while sustaining infinite capacity for customers.
- Lead a team of technical trainers.
- Manage the training programs for Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO), Data Center Operations (DCO), Infrastructure Delivery (), Decommissioning, and Logistics.
- Implement standardized training processes that adapt to audience needs.
- Create and track performance metrics for training effectiveness.
- Establish communication channels between Full Time Training Team (FTT) and stakeholders.
- Drive innovation through AI technology and agile methodologies.
- Support the design of comprehensive learning materials including exercises, tutorials, and assessments.
- Measure and report training program impact.
- Travel approximately 25% of the time.
The Full-Time Training Team works within AWS Data Center Operations to implement world‑class training programs for DCEO, DCO, , Decom, and Logistics. The team continuously raises performance standards and provides mentorship and career‑advancing resources.
Basic Qualifications- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
- 3+ years of direct people management, including managing managers or senior individual contributors.
- 5+ years of leading training, technical instruction, or maintenance operations programs at a regional or multi‑site level.
- 5+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience in project, program, or product management with a focus on technical education programs.
- Experience in curriculum development for international technical support organizations.
- Experience in operations management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience in project management.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience leading training organizations or programs at a national or network scale.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) strategy, governance, and reporting.
- Experience with instructional design, curriculum architecture, or training program development.
- Experience using data and metrics to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change.
