NW Deployment Build Mgr II, Global Network Deployment

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of Network Infrastructure across the AMER region, overseeing safety, scheduling, standards, and implementation for new builds.
• Plan, configure, and deploy network infrastructure in new AWS data centers, driving strategy to innovate and optimize deployments while ensuring operational excellence.
• Ensure network capacity is delivered on time with zero rework.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on new solutions and designs.
• Lead people management for a team of highly qualified network engineers.

The Global Network Delivery Team (GND) is responsible for structured cabling, hardware deployment, and hardware commissioning related to network deployment during the initial phase of a data center. Team members include software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers.

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
• 3+ years of program management experience in infrastructure builds.
• Experience in technical management and people development.
• Proven track record managing difficult, cross‑functional infrastructure builds independently.
• Experience working across multiple teams and managing programs end‑to‑end.
• Ability to manage trade‑offs: time vs scope vs cost.
• Experience clearing blockers, escalating appropriately, and accelerating progress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Robust technical understanding of network infrastructure and deployment processes.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualifications or military experience in an IT‑related field.
• Functional knowledge of network design and layer 2/3 networking concepts.
• Ability to propose regional or global projects leveraging technical and management experience.
• Experience conducting interviews and making effective hiring decisions.

Base salary range: USD  –  annually. Additional compensation may include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
