We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Now Developer with deep technical expertise in the Service Now platform, specializing in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Platform Integrations, and Discovery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing complex Service Now solutions. This role will involve leading overall platform implementation, driving innovation, ensuring system optimization, and designing solutions for platform delivery.

Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide technical teams and business stakeholders.

Must-Haves:

• Lead the overall design of the Service Now platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to implement innovative Service Now solutions.
• Define platform roadmaps to ensure scalability, performance, stability, and audit compliance.
• Extend platform capabilities through workflow design, integrations, and module development.

• Drive end-to-end implementation of Service Now solutions, including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, Sec Ops, GRC, and TPRM modules.
• Manage platform upgrades and ensure applications meet enterprise security and compliance standards.
• Provide technical guidance for configuration, customization, and development based on business needs.
• Oversee documentation, knowledge base materials, and training for process owners and stakeholders.

• Provide governance and enforce technical best practices.
• Mentor and guide a team of Service Now engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Engineering, Finance, HR) to drive adoption and platform success.
• Demonstrate strong decision-making skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Partner with executive leadership to understand business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Ensure clear communication of project status, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders.

• Establish governance and best practices to improve platform performance and efficiency.
• Stay current with Service Now trends, releases, and best practices, applying new technologies proactively.
• Foster a safe environment for experimentation with technical solutions to address organizational challenges.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience with Service Now, including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, Sec Ops, GRC, and TPRM modules.
• Strong background in architecture and design of Service Now implementations, workflows, custom apps, and integrations.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering large-scale projects.

• Proficiency with scripting languages (JavaScript, Glide, etc.) and Service Portal technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular
  
  JS, SASS, Bootstrap).
• Strong understanding of CMDB, Asset Management, Discovery, Portal, Incident, Problem, and Change Request Management.
• Experience integrating Service Now with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and Spokes.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITAM, or similar).
• Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• ITIL v3/v4 certification is a plus.
• Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is highly desirable.
