The Global Network Delivery organization is looking to hire a highly motivated, best‑in‑class Network Deployment Planner to join our Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery. The role involves scoping and planning interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across several data center locations, reviewing project forecasts, and ensuring physical infrastructure resources are available for their execution.
Key Job Responsibilities- Ensure adherence to timelines.
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with an eye on improvement.
- Work closely with install/deployment technicians, supply chain & procurement, network engineers, and technical project manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on‑demand customer capacity.
- Possess knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
- Apply cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Familiarity with common networking terms.
- Great judgement and analytical skills, with ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs.
- Coordinate design, project timeline/schedule, and construction milestones.
- Employ core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical‑path management; be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in computer networking
- Experience working with Linux operating systems
- Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
