Amazon Data Services, Inc. (AWS Infrastructure Services) is responsible for design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role, based in Herndon, VA, involves overseeing data center build projects in the Northern Virginia region.
You will lead cross‑functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Your responsibilities include managing remote project delivery teams, facilitating technical whiteboard sessions, negotiating and influencing stakeholders across multiple time zones, managing capital budgets, eliminating non‑value‑add activity, designing solutions, removing blockers, and accelerating project delivery.
Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (network, data center, hardware, software)
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
- 3+ years of project management experience (scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical‑path management)
- Master’s degree or above in engineering, management, or technology, or 3+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers

The base salary range for this position is USD – annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
