Position requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph. The Technical Automation Specialist is a highly visible, challenging but rewarding role that provides opportunities for career growth. The specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and efficiency improvements. They design, develop, and implement automation solutions using various technologies and tools, having a strong understanding of technical infrastructure, software development life cycles, and IT operations.
The role involves collaborating with technical teams to implement solutions, providing technical guidance, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify areas for automation and efficiency improvements; develop and implement automation strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall quality.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell), automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Salt Stack, Terraform), monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), log and data management (e.g., Splunk, Elastic Stack), and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD).
- Work closely with technical teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to services.
- Provide technical guidance and support on automation best practices, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Monitor automation solutions, identify areas for improvement, and optimize automation workflows to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of automation solutions, including design, development, and deployment processes; share knowledge and best practices with technical teams through training, workshops, and documentation.

A minimum of 6 years’ experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is required, or a Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience.
Skills- Programming
Languages:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Power Shell, or Bash. - Automation Frameworks:
Experience with Ansible, Salt Stack, or Puppet. - CI/CD Tools:
Knowledge of Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or Azure Dev Ops. - Cloud Platforms:
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Containerization:
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. - IT Service Management:
Familiarity with ITIL, Service Now, and incident, problem, and change management. - Operating Systems:
Experience with Linux and/or Windows. - Troubleshooting and Debugging:
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Certifications:
AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, Azure Dev Ops Engineer, or Certified Ansible Engineer. - Agile Methodologies:
Experience with Scrum or Kanban. - Infrastructure as Code:
Knowledge of Terraform or Cloud Formation. - Communication:
