Network Deploy Technician III, Global Network Delivery (GND)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Network Deploy Technician III works with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to ensure the stability and sustainability of AWS’s next‑generation networks. The role involves scaling support across multiple data center locations, providing day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management, and collaborating with internal customers and external vendors to execute projects efficiently.

• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking for new equipment.
• Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in environments that operate 24/7, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely without limitation.

Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required. The employee must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ year of computer networking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.

Starting pay range: 27.00 – 48.00 USD hourly (USA, VA, Herndon).
