AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
The AWS Data Center Planning and Delivery team is responsible for ensuring we have infrastructure available to meet our customer’s needs. We have an opening for a TIPM who will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of upgrades, and optimization of our existing data centers.
The ideal candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, and possess experience in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives, as well as strategic program management. Candidate must be comfortable supporting project delivery teams, networking, infrastructure and regional business development teams.
Key Job Responsibilities- Manage the dependencies and interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed.
- Create, execute and facilitate site level execution plans.
- Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis to senior leadership, articulating root‑cause analysis and linking to specific improvement areas.
- Summarize escalation support and critical leadership decisions.
- Plan data center de‑scaling projects to optimize AWS’s infrastructure regions from availability, cost, and risk perspectives.
- Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
- Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
- Develop and implement scalable, data‑driven process improvement/automated solutions.
- Build program mechanisms that monitor and accelerate against the health of infrastructure asset migration and retirement plans needed for critical infrastructure projects.
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure (i.e., network, data center, hardware, software).
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.
- Experience using SQL.

The base salary range for this position is - USD annually.
