Senior Vulnerability Researcher

What You’ll Do

• Conduct vulnerability research and analysis across Linux, Embedded, and Windows operating systems.
• Reverse engineer complex binaries using tools such as Ghidra, Binary Ninja, IDA Pro, and debuggers like Win Dbg.
• Perform embedded systems analysis and development in support of mission requirements.
• Analyze and work with advanced network protocols, including RF, wire‑level, and routing protocols.
• Develop in modern programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and Bash.
• Utilize virtualization and infrastructure tools including VMware, vSphere, ESXi, Workstation, and network/storage management technologies.
• Build, maintain, and interpret databases of test results; document setups, findings, and recommendations.
• Provide clear and concise reporting through internal systems such as Git Lab, Jira, Confluence, and internal wikis.
• Deliver weekly status updates to government clients and communicate technical insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior researchers and subcontractor partners.
• Support a dynamic mission environment, including flexibility for occasional weekends, extended hours, and travel to customer sites as needed.

• Cyber tool testing experience
• In depth knowledge of Python
• Network threat hunting
• Prior experience with military or government cyber operations support
• Ability to interpret a database of results; describe test set up and results to team members and client; review log files; write reports; update documentation files
• Confidence and creativity to recommend corrections, tool and test environment improvements, and innovative approaches to incorporate client feedback
• Academic degree(s) in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics or Physics; or equivalent military experience.

• Experience with Bash
• Experience with complex cyber tools testing
• Experience with VMware, vSphere, ESXi, Workstation, managing storage solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of C/C++

Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Base pay range for these states:
California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is $86,400—$176,200 USD.
