We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect to join our Mission Operations team in Herndon, VA. This role focuses on delivering complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth, supporting Mission Operations Portfolio design, build, test, deploy, operate, and maintain mission‑critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers.

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure to meet availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar.
• Harden cloud security and manage identity/access (IAM, least privilege, key/secret management).
• Implement observability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerts, and dashboards (Prometheus/Grafana, Cloud Watch).
• Architect and operate resilient network and compute patterns (VPCs, load balancers, autoscaling, multi‑AZ).
• Optimize cost and capacity through tagging, rightsizing, budget alerts, and capacity planning.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and incident response processes; conduct post‑mortems and corrective actions.
• Manage container platforms and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Produce and maintain runbooks, documentation, and automation to enable developer self‑service.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Participate in planning and implementation of new systems, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring compatibility and adherence to best practices.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and security practices, and continuously improve skills and knowledge.

• Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance and current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP). A security clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience in cloud engineering.
• Experience with IaC tooling and automation.
• Experience designing cloud solutions.

• Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Level 5: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience with AWS.
• AWS, Azure, and/or GCP certifications.
