Job Description

Accenture Federal Services is hiring a full‑time Cyber Tool Tester in Herndon, VA. The role involves testing cyber tools in virtual environments, maintaining a U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance, and working with both unclassified and classified networks.

• Conduct rigorous cyber tool testing to ensure the integrity and robustness of tools.
• Navigate complex virtual test environments using VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
• Apply knowledge of networking protocols and manage complex storage solutions.
• Analyze databases of results and review log files.
• Update project notes and documentation.
• Provide weekly status updates during meetings with the government client.
• Recommend improvements, corrections, and innovative approaches to testing strategies.

• Must possess and maintain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• 2+ years of professional experience in software development (Dev Sec Ops  or cyber), virtual machines, Python and Bash, basic networking, databases, wikis, Git Lab, Jira, or Confluence.
• Ability to describe test setup and results to team members and clients.
• Experience reviewing log files, writing reports, and updating documentation.
• Confidence and creativity to recommend corrections and testing improvements.
• Clear, concise reporting to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and follow direction from senior researchers and subcontractor partners.
• Willingness to support a dynamic mission environment, including occasional weekends, extended hours, and travel to customer sites.

• Prior experience with military or government cyber operations support.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, or Workstation.
• Knowledge of C/C++.
• Knowledge of firewalls, switching/routing, CIDR programming, or Vibe coding.
• Academic degree(s) in computer science, cyber security, software engineering, electrical or computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent military experience.

Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Base pay range: $86,400—$176,200 USD (range varies by location). The position is located in Herndon, VA, with ample parking, free coffee, refreshments, team‑building events, and a supportive management team committed to growth.
