Specialist Solutions Architect - SQL Analytics, Data & AI GTM

Job Summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA). SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address complex customer challenges, guiding them through refactoring existing applications or designing new cloud–based systems.

We are looking for a SQL Analytics Specialist Solutions Architect to join our AWS team. You will serve as a subject‑matter expert, working directly with customers to design cloud‑based analytics solutions using Amazon Redshift, Redshift Serverless, data sharing, Amazon Redshift ML, zero‑ETL integrations, Data Lake architecture, Iceberg tables, S3 tables, Athena, and Sage Maker Lakehouse. You will help customers build the data foundation required to maximize the value of their AI projects and investments.

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring feedback to product teams to influence feature development and road‑map.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to GTM teams to unblock customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public‑speaking events such as AWS Summit and AWS re:
  
  Invent.
• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best‑in‑class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject‑matter experts worldwide.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, helping them integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 3+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
• Knowledge of open table formats, especially Iceberg.
• Understanding of data foundation principles supporting agentic systems.
