NW Deployment Planner II, GND - Planning, Implementation, Coordination; PIC Team

Role Summary

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that enable customers to access the innovations they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, working across AWS to deliver safety, security, and scalable capacity while keeping cost low.

• Ensure adherence to timelines.
• Deliver sustainable, repeatable solutions and processes with an eye on continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers, and Technical Project Managers to enable fast, smooth delivery of on‑demand customer capacity.
• Maintain knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
• Apply best practices and methodologies for cabling infrastructure.
• Apply common networking terms.
• Exercise excellent judgment and analytical skills, prioritizing tasks based on fluctuating needs; demonstrate strong prioritization and time‑management ability.
• Coordinate design, project timelines/schedules, and construction milestones.
• Apply core project‑management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical‑path management under time‑pressure conditions.

• Experience in project management.
• 1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.

• 2+ years of data‑center, critical‑environment, computer‑hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data‑center operations experience.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.

Base salary range: USA, TX, Dallas – 76,900.00 –  USD annually; USA, VA, Herndon – 76,900.00 –  USD annually.
