Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
We are looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work independently in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
Key Responsibilities- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
- Support large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks and troubleshoot network implementation issues.
- Work with the team in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, interacting regularly with peers and customers.
- Provide management and support of AWS’ vast network infrastructure, establish and follow best practices, and refine operational procedures.
- Assist with the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Travel within and outside the regional work area, using reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7, including participation in primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Operate in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.
