AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. Your role focuses on ensuring cable installation quality for data center network reliability.

In This Role, You Will
  • Work with Network Deployment and Vendor Management teams to integrate quality assurance into cable installation processes.
  • Participate in reviews of training curricula and cabling design documents, providing QA representation.
  • Influence partner teams and cabling vendors to adopt QA checklists that validate conformance to Amazon and jurisdictional standards.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and vendors, refine quality processes, and drive adoption of cable validation testing and defect management.
  • Document and align cable installation standards and SOPs; organize training and provide vendor guidelines.
  • Track required metrics such as defect rates, First Pass Yield, and schedule adherence; report on project milestones.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, capture lessons learned, and facilitate post-project reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce Cost of Poor Quality and improve overall project efficiency.
  • Travel up to 25% for onsite quality standards review.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years of experience solving problems with technology in the telecommunications industry.
  • Experience with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of delivering end-to-end projects and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management with multiple stakeholders at varied levels.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
  • Experience applying structured quality control methodologies in data center or construction environments.
