AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensures our customers have continual access to the innovations they rely on.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

• Manage a team of technicians who install and build server rack capacity for customers
• Provide passion for Customer Experience, think globally and contribute to Data Center Infrastructure innovations
• Develop and manage teams of technicians and engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring high performance
• Deliver capacity to existing Data Centers
• Build and bring online new Data Centers
• Constantly improve all processes and procedures, believing in limitless improvements
• Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors
• Liaise with internal teams and management groups
• Ensure adherence to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers
• Create and maintain metrics on all aspects of Data Centers; use metrics to drive positive changes
• Assist in implementing service methodologies including incident, problem, change, and capacity management
• Support data centers in various operational stages, potentially traveling for training until the assigned facility is operational

Ability to travel or commute between data center locations as needed.

Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until the assigned facility is operational.

Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and the operational status of the assigned facility.

This role requires managers to conduct daily in-person safety inspections, meetings, and operational tasks across Northern Virginia data center locations. Attendance in person at weekly regional manager staff meetings at AWS corporate locations (Herndon, VA) may be required.

• 2+ years of experience in a data center technology role
• 2+ years of TCP/IP networking, network cabling, fiber, optic types, and test equipment experience
• 2+ years of management or team lead function experience

• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
• Understanding of networking infrastructure topology
• Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering)
• Experience with installing physical data center equipment such as copper/fiber cabling and racks
• Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
