You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
The Global Network Delivery organization is looking to hire a highly motivated, best‑in‑class Network Deployment Planner to join our growing Planning team within AWS Data Center Delivery. The role involves scoping and planning new network capacity deployments across several data center locations, reviewing project forecasts, and ensuring physical infrastructure resources are available for execution.
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning & Design Management: develop comprehensive 6‑8 month network implementation roadmaps aligned with AWS DC expansion targets; create and optimize network position layouts and rack placement strategies; review and contribute to High‑Level Design (HLD) documentation; coordinate with engineering teams.
- Capacity Planning: develop capacity planning models; create standardized planning templates and methodologies for network implementations.
- Project & Resource Management: lead end‑to‑end project planning for multiple concurrent network implementation initiatives; develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and dependencies; manage scope, quality, risks, and mitigation strategies; track project progress and report to stakeholders.
- Supply Chain & Inventory Planning: develop project inventory forecasts and requirements; coordinate with procurement and vendor teams; establish procurement timelines aligned with project schedules.
- Program Governance & Process Excellence: establish and maintain project management frameworks; develop repeatable planning processes; create and maintain documentation and reporting standards; drive continuous improvement initiatives; build and maintain stakeholder communication channels.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- Experience in computer networking, including network design, protocols, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Can work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
