NS2 Senior Cloud Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Administrator at SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2) to support a large software client. The role involves evaluating, designing, implementing, and operating the Corporate IT Server and Application Services (SAS) environment.

• Must be a U.S. citizen; requires access to customer data.
• Must be a resident of Virginia and live within 30 miles of the Herndon, VA location.
• Must be able to work onsite at least three times per week.

The Senior Cloud Administrator will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and daily operation of the Corporate IT SAS environment. This hands‑on technical role requires assessment of complex system requirements and delivery of secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure solutions. The administrator will also define technical standards, evaluate emerging technologies, coordinate with vendors, and collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to resolve system and application issues.

• Evaluate, design, implement, and maintain enterprise server and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Administer and support the Corporate IT SAS environment.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, maintain, and monitor systems across the enterprise.
• Ensure compliance with security and encryption requirements supporting U.S. national security.
• Develop and document technical standards, procedures, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues.
• Interface with vendors to evaluate and procure hardware and software solutions.
• Support fault management, performance management, and system availability objectives.
• Enforce corporate network, system, and application security procedures.

• 5+ years of experience in an enterprise IT System Administrator or Cloud Administrator role.
• Experience as a Microsoft Azure Administrator.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Network Solutions.
• Strong Windows Administration Experience, including:
  • Active Directory
  • DNS
  • Group Policy
• Experience with Single Sign‑on (SSO) and identity solutions, including:
  • OKTA
  • Entra
• Linux Administration
  
  Experience with :
  • SUSE
  • Red Hat
  • CentOS
• Experience integrating:
  • SIEM tools
  • Backup solutions
  • Monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of security best practices and frameworks such as NIST 800‑53 Rev. 4
• Relevant industry certifications, such as:
  • MCSE
  • MCITP
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900)
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ‑104)
  • Azure Certified Solutions Architect (AZ‑303/AZ‑304)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Create, implement, and document infrastructure processes related to:
  • Performance monitoring
  • Troubleshooting and helpdesk response
  • Capacity planning
  • Landscape design and configuration standards
  • 24/7 support, escalation, and SLA models
  • IMAC services (install, move, add, change)
  • Change management and communication strategy
  • Server and application diagrams and workflows
  • Incident diagnosis, corrective action, and root cause analysis
  • Vulnerability management and monthly patching activities
  • Testing, installation, modification, and servicing of server components and applications
  • Prioritizing work requests based on business priorities and system criticality
  • Vendor relationships for infrastructure maintenance and upgrades
  • Subject Matter Expert to Cloud Operations, Cyber Security, and Systems Administration teams
  • Systems analysis and design for new infrastructure solutions
  • Customer and end‑user satisfaction focus
