ADC Engineer, S3 ADC , S3+Glacier Regions; AWS

This is an exciting opportunity to apply the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative solutions and resolve complex technical problems. The role is based in Herndon, VA and focuses on maintaining and enhancing Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for government customers.

• Plan and define milestones for projects, manage feedback mechanisms, and ensure project deliverables meet quality and availability standards.
• Identify and investigate issues related to high availability, defect tracking, and systemic patterns.
• Resolve, mitigate, or appropriately escalade operational concerns in a timely manner.
• Investigate new ways to improve operations and define solutions for technically complex cloud issues.
• Maintain service health by analyzing performance outliers through metrics and logs.
• Deeply understand architecture, configuration, and dependencies of S3 services.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and support U.S. Intelligence Community and defense agencies.

• Investigate and improve operations, defining solutions for complex cloud challenges.
• Conduct proactive monitoring, metric analysis, and log investigation.
• Expand regional coverage for Amazon S3.
• Build and launch AWS services from hardware procurement to software deployment.
• Collaborate with industry experts to enhance cloud computing and storage solutions.

• Associate’s degree or higher, or certifications such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
• Experience debugging and systems analysis, quickly identifying and resolving or mitigating issues.
• Strong troubleshooting skills at application, network, and host levels.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, Perl).
• Minimum 2 years of systems administration experience (Linux and/or networking).
• Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance at TS/SCI level with polygraph.

• 2+ years of cloud computing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Salary range: 116,900 – 167,400 USD annually
