AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. The role involves working on challenging problems across the supply chain and building strong cross‑functional relationships.
You will lead cross‑functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Your responsibilities include using judgment, negotiation skills, analytical talent, and leadership to influence stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate non‑value‑add activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and accelerate project delivery.
You must be comfortable managing remote project delivery teams and facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot implementation issues and remove barriers to success. You will need to establish trust with stakeholders, manage capital budgets, and find creative ways to accelerate delivery.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You should have experience in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives and strategic program management. Apply a variety of project management tools, methodologies, and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle. Demonstrated experience in scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking is required. Experience with MS Project, Asana or Tableau is a plus.
Experience managing data center infrastructure deployments and understanding mechanical/electrical engineering concepts is a plus. A background in architecture/design, mechanical/electrical engineering, software/hardware engineering, data center infrastructure/operations, or construction, and a transition to program management are advantageous.
Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
- Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to network, data center, hardware, software
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
- 3+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical‑path management
- Master's degree or above in engineering, management, or technology, or 3+ years of directly managing multiple large projects
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers

The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
