Sr. Technical Account Manager, National Security - ES US-ADC

Job SummaryAmazon Web Services (AWS) Enterprise Support is hiring a Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) to serve National Security customers. The role is not a sales position; it focuses on being a strategic technical advisor and the voice of the customer to national security customers.
Responsibilities• Craft and execute strategies to drive adoption and use of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, Sage Maker, ECS/EKS, Guard Duty, Systems Manager, Code Pipeline, IoT, and more.
• Represent AWS within the customer’s environment and lead discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.
• Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keep customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their business and operational needs, and help them achieve the greatest value from AWS.
• Travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
Security Clearance & CitizenshipThis position requires the candidate to be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 2+ years of technical work experience
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience
- Experience in informational technology operations
- Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer‑facing environment as a technical lead
- Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and teammates
- Experience with development in a distributed systems environment
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
- Experience recognizing a challenge and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions
- Understanding of the AWS Well‑Architected Framework pillars and ability to properly apply them to existing or new customer architecture, implementations, and solutions
Base salary range: $ – $ USD annually (USA, VA, Herndon).
