Information Security Systems Engineer – Herndon, VA
As an NVIDIA Information Security Systems Engineer, you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of planning, crafting, implementing, operating, and optimizing organization‑wide systems that comply with U.S. federal laws and security standards.
What You’ll Be Doing- Implement features and functionality required by an organization‑wide system compliant with NIST 800‑171, CMMC requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements and deliver elegant solutions to enable business.
- Partner with vendors and solution providers.
- Coordinate with security and compliance teams.
- Recommend and implement optimizations.
- Support audit initiatives.
- Customer and incident service management as needed.
- An active Secret clearance with ability to attain higher clearances as needed.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in:
- Systems administration with Azure tenant (hosted via an MSP) or other equivalent virtualized environments (Hypervisor concepts, Hyper‑V, VMware ESXi, Citrix).
- GPO, App Locker, and DLP.
- Performance and log monitoring.
- Hands‑on knowledge of cloud technology solutions that enable business.
- Familiarity with system accreditation framework and system compliance against controls.
- Advanced skills in data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting compliance metrics.
- Familiarity with roles of Contract Security Officer (CSO) or Federal Security Office (FSO), ability to backup primary NPS Security Lead, and ability to obtain certification as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, IT, Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Operating organization‑wide systems compliant with NIST 800‑171 / CMMC / FISMA / FedRAMP.
- Solid understanding of export controls, including ITAR / EAR / ACS IFR.
- Familiarity with DOD clearance processing requirements, SEAD 3, SEAD 4 and the 13 adjudicative standards, and tracking of personnel security clearances and associated investigation requirements.
- Contract Security Officer (CSO) or Federal Security Office (FSO) with DCSA certification.
- Host pool management, session hosts, FSLogix profiles (nice to have).
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base‑salary range is $136,000–$224,250 for Level 3 and $168,000–$270,250 for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
