Job Description
GDIT, a Federal marketplace leader in next-generation IT solutions and professional services, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Scrum Master to join an Agile Team for the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM). The role involves developing software and application enhancements on the Mission Systems Lifecycle Support (MSLS) contract using Agile and Dev Sec Ops processes.
The successful candidate will transform client business needs into user stories and functional requirements, advocate for the Product Owner, and support Agile sprint cycles.
Responsibilities
- Write user stories and functional requirements using JIRA
- Assign points for user stories
- Provide support and technical advice throughout Agile sprint cycles
- Assist in validating enhancements to existing systems and coordinate with developers and testers
- Implement scrum/agile project lifecycle approach to software development
- Lead daily scrum calls, refinement and estimation sessions, planning, prioritizing, and retrospective sessions
- Integrate with sprint teams to deliver functionality
Required Skills / Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- DSH HQ EOD required to start; must obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
- BS or equivalent + 1 year related experience
- Experience developing Agile user stories for an IT Mission System
- Certification in SAFe, SCRUM or Kanban
Desired Skills / Qualifications
- BS in computer science or information systems field of study
- Experience in Agile and Dev Ops methodologies
- Proven track record as a self‑learner keeping current with latest techniques including automated testing and continuous integration
- Experience in JIRA
- Ability to manage different features within a sprint
Salary Range – $70,658 to $77,050 (subject to experience, location and contractual requirements).
