Position: DevOps Engineer with Security Clearance
Clearance Jobs is actively seeking a Dev Ops Engineer for our client located in Herndon, VA. Our team works closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and deliver candidates who are not only technically qualified but cleared and ready to contribute from day one. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Support initial deployment and site coordination for a data-centric, multi-level secure enterprise platform, including HPC-supporting programs and other connected contracts
Design, build, and maintain Dev Ops deployment automation processes across Unix/Linux environments
Develop and maintain scripts and tooling using Python, Perl, Korn, Bash, and Ansible to streamline configuration management and deployment
Manage source code and configuration using revision control systems (Git, Git Lab, Git Lab CI, SVN, CVS)
Troubleshoot deployment and automation issues in coordination with site administration teams
Apply configuration management best practices to maintain platform stability and support the broader enterprise core team

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of combined experience in Linux systems, scripting/software development, and configuration management
Proficiency in Python, Perl, Korn, Bourne/Bash, Ansible, and related shell scripting languages

Experience with revision control software (CVS, SVN, Git, Git Lab, Git Lab CI)
Experience developing and managing Dev Ops deployment automation processes
Active Security+ certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SELinux-based environments
Experience supporting multi-level secure or data-centric enterprise platforms
Familiarity with HPC-adjacent infrastructure or deployment support
Comfortable working directly with site administrators and end users to resolve deployment issues in a fast-paced, agile environment Clearance Requirements:
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required at time of start — candidates without an active, in-scope clearance will not be considered
Must be able to maintain clearance eligibility throughout employment

On-Site — full-time presence required; this is not a hybrid or remote role
