Description
Amazon Web Services is seeking talented AWS Dedicated Cloud Engineers to join our Region Reliability Engineering & Automation (RRE&A) team. Our mission is to ensure the seamless operation of AWS’s dedicated cloud regions through proactive reliability engineering, automation, and leading‑edge solutions. You will engineer and maintain the largest cloud infrastructure for some of the world’s most complex environments, applying technologies such as Amazon Bedrock to solve challenging problems.
Key Responsibilities- Innovate and automate by developing and implementing solutions that reduce repetitive tasks, minimize manual intervention, and enable proactive issue resolution.
- Enhance regional reliability by expanding coverage for AWS’s critical services.
- Conduct deep dives into system and service interdependencies, proactively identifying and resolving region‑specific challenges.
- Collaborate with industry‑recognized engineers and contribute to continuous learning and a culture of excellence.
- Partner with U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies to implement secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions.
On a typical day you work alongside service engineers to preemptively resolve potential issues, drive automation efforts, and consult with technical experts within AWS. You help build and operate high‑performing systems that reduce operational burden for other AWS Dedicated Cloud teams, enhancing regional reliability through scalability, innovation, and automation.
Basic Qualifications- Associate’s degree or higher, or certifications such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
- 3+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows) experience.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent.
- Strong customer‑service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.
- 3+ years of cloud computing technologies experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting production computing environments.
- Experience in networking and troubleshooting.
- Experience with performance and log analysis.
- Experience debugging and systems analysis to quickly resolve issues.

The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
