Overview
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team seeks a highly skilled Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects, combining technical expertise with strong project leadership to achieve successful AWS-based implementations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
- Leverage AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
- Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
- Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
- Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.
- Validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks.
- Maintain relevant AWS certifications and develop domain‑specific expertise.
- Ensure ongoing communication of technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and be a U.S. citizen.
- 3+ years of leading delivery of IT projects with external customers or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year as Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross‑functional teams.
- 1+ year of cloud computing experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
- AWS certification.
- Knowledge of public cloud value proposition and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Experience presenting to C‑level executives and various stakeholder groups.
- Experience as Scrum Master or Product Owner across multiple cross‑functional teams.
