Overview
Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) is looking for an experienced Windows Client Systems Engineer with a deep knowledge of Windows desktop services, including virtual desktops and infrastructure. The mission is to deliver robust, highly available, and easy-to-use services to our internal customers in support of the Amazon Dedicated Cloud for U.S. Government customers. This hands‑on role involves maintaining and enhancing existing services, including Windows build/deployment capabilities, application packaging, and break/fix support for all technologies the team manages.
Key Responsibilities- Experience with Win OS, DNS, DHCP, and disaster recovery/business continuity.
- GPO policy validation and impact assessment.
- Security compliance – OS/application hardening, Nessus/Tenable vulnerability remediation.
- Understand 802.1x network authentication; demonstrate ability to script in Windows environment using Power Shell, AI and Automation.
- Experience administering, maintaining, and operating Active Directory Windows‑based networks.
- Associate’s degree or higher, or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP certificate.
- 4+ years supporting Windows OS, including at least 4 of:
Active Directory, DHCP, Power Shell, ECM, GPO, DNS, 802.1x, disaster recovery/business continuity, AI, Automation. - ECM experience for OS imaging, patching, and software deployment.
- Power Shell or equivalent scripting experience.
- Current, active US Government security clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph; must be willing to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed.
- 8+ years supporting Windows OS, including at least 4 of:
Active Directory, DHCP, Power Shell, ECM, GPO, DNS, 802.1x, disaster recovery/business continuity. - ECM experience for Windows OS imaging, patching, and software deployment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for creating and collaborating on technical documentation such as SOPs and runbooks.
- Bachelor’s degree or current Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP certification.
- Experience with Power Shell, Python, Ruby, or Java automation.
