In support of this mission, Vantor is seeking a cleared Systems Engineer who is looking for an incredible challenge. We are building a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment to provide full lifecycle support of compute, network, and storage infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate in a multitalented team in support of the environments, support, sustainment, and growth activities. You will work with a dynamic team consisting of Linux Administrators, Dev Ops & Infrastructure Engineers, Systems Engineers to support computational design elements of high-performing Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and harnessing that power to feed into the new Platform.

The Systems Engineer will:
  • Install, configure, and sustain Linux operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Assist in the design and provisioning of the enterprise network environment.
  • Prepare and deliver both program and user level documentation for system operations.
  • Provide technical systems support for project activities.
  • Monitor for performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Interact with members of the technical team leads.
  • Understand the current system, subsystems, and component specifications and be able to use experience to recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development.
  • Communicate and share expertise within and across the client’s organizational boundaries.
  • Work both independently and in small groups
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, information systems, computer engineering, or related technical field.
  • Relevant professional experience can substitute in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the following technical areas:
    System Administration or systems engineering in a Linux-heavy environment.
  • Experience supporting Dev Ops Infrastructure.
  • Experience in the build, operations, and sustainment of LAN/WAN networks.
  • Experience Implementing DOD Cyber Security requirements.
  • Experience with physical compute and networking hardware.
