The AWS Global Network Deployment (GND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical infrastructure program manager (TIPM) to drive Data Center and Network Capacity deployment efficiencies. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity.

You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.

Key job responsibilities
  • Monitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
  • Work with stakeholders (Work with stakeholders (vendor management/sourcing/planning & infrastructure delivery builders/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
  • Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade‑offs needed.
  • Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
  • End to end responsibility for the program’s execution and success.
  • Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
  • Develop and implement scalable, data‑driven process improvement/automated solutions.
  • Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software)
  • Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non‑technical leaders
