Job Overview

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supplier Development Manager to join our Procurement department. The position is based in major airport hubs (Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte, D.C., NYC, or Philadelphia) and involves traveling weekly to suppliers and subtiers to ensure on‑time delivery and quality of equipment and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage supplier activities for commercial aircraft and helicopters.
  • Stakeholder management across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Lead special projects and solve complex supply chain or quality management issues.
  • Conduct gemba walks, assessments and provide recommendations to improve supplier performance.
  • Manage up to 80% travel, primarily domestically and occasionally internationally.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, supply‑chain, or related field.
  • Eight (8) years of professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Program Management or related areas.
  • Demonstrable experience with quality management tools such as APQP, Six Sigma, Lean, and practical problem‑solving.
  • Experience in Supplier Recovery, Crisis Management and transfer of work between production sites.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Working Environment

This is a mission‑based role that requires weekly travel to suppliers. The position requires autonomy, a self‑starting mentality and appreciation for collaboration and problem solving.
