General Maintenance Worker (DD)

EMCOR Government Services, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Worker in Herndon, VA. This role will assist in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment in the Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings. The position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

• Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
• Assist with the maintenance and repairs of the building air systems on the site.
• Perform daily a Light Bulb Tour.
• Institute corrective action and/or inform supervisors of any deficiencies found in the course of performing the job.
• Monitor subcontractors in their tasks.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

• Experience with light carpentry work.
• Able to demonstrate practical knowledge of tools in trade.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.

• Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 75 lbs).
• Prolong, extensive or considerable standing walking.
