does this role look like?
Responsible for managing a team of Contracts professionals within the National Security Space (NSS) Line of Business. The candidate will have leadership responsibility for all aspects of pre‑acquisition activities and contract negotiation and management, including the development of efficient acquisition and contracting strategies in partnership with internal and external customer counterparts. The candidate will serve as a valued business leader and partner with business development, program management, functional counterparts and NSS contracts leadership to drive creative and competitive contracting approaches.
They will interface regularly with external customers to resolve challenges and support mission success.
- Contracting or negotiation or management experience
- Negotiating with both internal and external customers to support business objectives
- Ability to work with procurement regulations or FAR/DFARS or other transaction authority (OTAs) in all aspects of the contract life cycle or anything else similar
- Experience with different Contract Types: FFP, FPIF, CPAF, CPFF, T&M or any other contract types
- Top Secret Clearance required
Skills:
- Leadership (management) experience
- Significant FAR/DFARS experience
- Collaborative and creative contracting approach to novel and challenging dynamics
- Ability to provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and support to members of the team in a fast‑paced environment
- Significant experience with USG procurement regulations in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, administration, and close‑out
- TS/SCI clearance
- 8+ years of related experience
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: TS/SCI.

- Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits. - Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
