Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect with demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; who selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills. This is a MID CAREER (level
4) ROLE where candidates typically require 5 years of professional experience and a BS degree. This role will be focused on shaping the vision for future development based on our customer's mission needs. It will require a willingness to learn and understand our customers current architecture and work closely with our customers and mission partners to plan out how we can evolve our design to meet their needs while staying within their financial and schedule guardrails.
The ideal candidate should have a strong software engineering, Test and architecture background as well as a deep understanding of ground based mission management software design. You will be working with an small agile team with regular collaboration with a broad group of partnered stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with stakeholders and external segments within the enterprise to evolve the program architecture to meet customer needs.
• Demonstrated leadership working with both software and systems engineering teams.
• Define and evolve the overall software architecture road map for one or more product lines.
• Establish architectural principles, standards, and best practices across the development organization.
• Recommend adoption and deprecation of technologies based on the program priorities. WHY JOIN US

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in an Engineering or STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
