POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll be the technical closer and customer-facing engineer in the pre-sales motion. This is a revenue-focused role: your work directly accelerates pipeline, increases win rate, shortens time-to-technical-win, and turns evaluations into production deployments.

• Partner with Account Executives to qualify technical fit, shape the deal, and run the technical sales process from discovery → demo → POV/POC → security review → close.
• Lead sharp technical + business discovery across Engineering, Product, Finance/Rev Ops, and Security stakeholders.
• Translate vague pain (“AI spend is spiky”) into a crisp technical plan with measurable success criteria (e.g., “cost per task by customer,” “budget alerts under 1 minute,” “margin by product tier,” “show top drivers of variance week-over-week”).
• Deliver high-impact demos, whiteboards, and workshops—from deeply technical sessions to exec-ready value narratives.

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role in B2B SaaS (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Product Specialist, etc.).
• Strong technical depth with the ability to get hands-on quickly: You can read/write code, produce working snippets, and guide implementation (Python and/or Type Script/Node strongly preferred; Go a plus). Comfort with APIs, webhooks, auth patterns, debugging production-like integrations, and cloud architectures.
• Excellent customer presence: You can run a room with executives and engineers. You can explain complex systems simply and credibly. You can navigate objections and drive urgency without being pushy.
• Commercial & economic acumen: You can talk confidently about unit economics, margins, cost allocation/chargeback, and the practical realities of pricing & packaging.
• High ownership / high agency: You don’t wait for perfect. You find the path, build the plan, and drive it to done.
