Position SummaryNightwing is seeking a cleared and experienced Systems Integrator/Referent in the McLean area. The primary liaison will coordinate with customer mission support entities, work independently and with a team of experienced officers, track communications, and disseminate items that require attention and coordination. The role works directly with client components and mission partners, both domestically and in the field, to address readiness issues impacting the client mission.
Responsibilities include updating the client SharePoint site and other databases, submitting travel requests, providing necessary support to begin work, and delivering periodic briefings on status of readiness improvements.
- Knowledge of Customer OCONUS environment
- Experience coordinating travel, medical, and training for resources traveling to OCONUS field environment
- Knowledge of how to access, use, and manipulate client databases (assign actions, respond to messages, create and post messages)
- General knowledge and familiarity of field activities and how the client supports these activities (policies, procedures, organization)
- Extensive knowledge of client communication and messaging systems
- Knowledge of how to use client systems to submit and track supply and equipment orders
- Understanding of general field IT issues, and a general knowledge of the project management process
- Ability to perform calendar management for client leadership (serves as back‑up when MS is out)
- Knowledge of client mission areas (specifically operations)
- Knowledge of client directorates and their areas of focus
- Experience setting up meetings, creating agendas, arranging off‑sites, and taking/publishing professional meeting minutes
- Experience ordering and shipping materials domestically and internationally
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, etc.)
- Working level knowledge of web products, including SharePoint (user level), Wikis, and databases
- Experience as a Senior Operations and Technical Manager
- Experience with domestic and overseas IT, Telecommunications, and Security
- Knowledge of field communications
- OCONUS travel experience
- Technical and specialty training or certifications (e.g., JNCIA, CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or other industry‑recognized certifications)

- Job Description:
Serves as a member of a telecommunications systems integration team performing a wide variety of complex activities associated with building/assembling, testing and integrating legacy and next generation telecommunications systems. - Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including Cisco and Juniper routers, firewalls, and switches
- Use of various test equipment (JDSU FST‑2802, cable eye tester, multimeter, Firebird 6000A, Digital Lightwave)
- Ability to upgrade and downgrade telecommunications devices using TFTP, FTP, and terminal emulator programs
- Ability to implement test plans to both bench test and system test equipment and system components
- Interpret IC drawings and wiring schematics of equipment and cables
- Fabricate and run CAT6 cables and other data cables
- Keep abreast of basic safety practices
