Systems Engineer; TS​/SCI

Position:
System Engineer in Herndon, VA;
Melbourne, FL; or Colorado Springs, CO. US citizenship is required. Applicants must hold an active U.S. Government security clearance (TS/SCI). Clearance status will be verified and export control/ITAR compliance must be met.

• Provide systems engineering and enterprise architecture support to U.S. Government customers.
• Work with customers to improve architecture and engineering workflows, identifying or designing processes and tools.
• Articulate and capture architecture, system requirements, system design, and testing approach.
• Investigate and capture “As Is” architecture and workflows; identify “To Be” states; recommend transition from “As Is” to “To Be”.
• Develop standard and repeatable processes to support architecture, engineering, development, and integration projects.
• Apply System V techniques to develop products and translate them to customer practices.
• Produce and support the leadership team in creating Enterprise Architecture Repository artifacts.
• Support engineering review boards.

• US citizenship with a current/active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree).
• At least five years of experience performing system engineering activities, including requirements analysis, interface control documentation, Con Ops development, use‑case development, data flow analysis, and test plan development.
• Familiarity with a requirements tool and SCRUM/Agile development (Jira).
• Experience deploying and maintaining development, test, and operational environments.

• Eight or more years of relevant experience.
• Certification in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with software and system development projects using MBSE.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts, System V principles, and MBSE realization.
• Experience on Agile or SAFe development teams.
• Strong best‑practice requirements writing skills.

Base pay ranges by location:
Colorado – $ – $ – $ annually;
Washington, DC metropolitan area – $ – $ – $ annually. Other states use geographic cost‑of‑labor adjustments.
