Health Works for Northern Virginia is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the medically underserved and uninsured populations of Northern Virginia. We provide quality medical, dental, and behavioral health care to all ages who might not otherwise be able to afford it. Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive GYN assessments and exams.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic GYN conditions.
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Educate and counsel patients on women’s health, prevention, and wellness.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- 3+ years of experience in Gynecology or Women’s Health (Required).
- Valid Commonwealth of Virginia Nurse Practitioner license.
- Board Certified or Board eligible; if eligible must meet certification requirements within one year of completing residency training program.
- Maintain current DEA certification.
- Team player with strong interpersonal relationships and cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, capable of handling conflicts and crisis professionally.
- Knowledge of comprehensive health programs, public health principles, preventive care recommendations, clinical practice guidelines, and quality improvement.
- Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion.
- Professionalism consistent with HW standards.
- Flexible, open‑mindful, and adaptable to changing environments.
- Committed to continual skill improvement through educational opportunities.
- Positive attitude toward providers, clinical staff, and customers, willing to assist in achieving maximum satisfaction.
