Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly or indirectly supervises associates and/or supervisors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Major Responsibilities- Ensures that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service.
- Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, always display a hospitable and professional mannerism to our guests, take pride in representing the Marriott, Westin and Auro Hotels professionally with our guests and ensure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
- Understands and applies all property safety and security procedures to always maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests. In the event of an accident or emergency, gets medical attention if necessary and contacts the GM or Human Resources immediately.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all hotel associates to foster and promote a positive working environment.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced and customer service oriented environment; to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner; to work as a part of a team as well as complete assignments independently; to take instructions from Supervisor; to exercise problem solving skills and to interact with co-workers, Supervisor, guests and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items, garnish, contents and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any guest questions about the menu in a direct, concise way.
- Be knowledgeable of the wine list, cocktails and bar including wine selections
- Reports all incidents (compliments/complaints) to Supervisor.
- Check food before serving it to the guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct.
- Controls operation of his/her restaurant. Insures proper execution of service between team members. Observe guests and respond to any additional requests. Manage the restaurant in an efficient timely manner.
- Responsible for printing/ordering new menus as needed.
