IT Sales Executive

Job Summary

Identifies, qualifies, develops and closes sales within a service line, vertical or sector. Plans, facilitates and conducts complex client negotiations, and applies consultative selling skills to develop attractive value propositions. Utilizes advanced knowledge of NTT DATA’s service offerings and understanding of the client's business to develop customized proposals that present creative solutions. Maintains effective client relationships with key senior‑level decision makers and influencers to understand the client's requirements and match them with solutions and close the deal.

Collaborates with delivery teams to ensure that delivery capability matches the proposed solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expert in subject area with working knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Lead large scale projects.
  • Lead or guide others on cross‑functional projects outside own department.
  • Focus on selling services solutions across geographies, segments and/or industries.
  • Anticipate how market and competitive factors influence the selling of NTT DATA services.
  • Execute goals and strategies within sales area.
  • Structure and implement sales plans within the context of established strategy.
  • Initiate new or revised sales procedures, programs and initiatives.
  • Sell to larger and national size accounts that may include global operations.
  • Typical client contact is at senior IT management level and may have limited exposure to CIO and CTO.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 5‑10 years of experience successfully selling and/or delivering IT services within the federal government space.
  • Minimum 5‑10 years of relevant Sales/Business Development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing business development and/or delivery efforts.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting different aspects of the sales lifecycle including opportunity identification, qualification, account penetration, pursuit strategy, and contracting processes.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Excellent industry and service solution knowledge.
  • Excellent understanding of client’s decision making process, goals, objectives and strategies.
  • Excellent business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent ability to assess potential sales opportunities and develop value propositions.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Compensation & Benefits

The starting pay range for this role is $132,000 – $220,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. The position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position is offered temporarily, it will not be eligible for incentive compensation. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution;
