The OpportunityAs a Solution Engineer at Cync, you will be the product expert in every sales conversation. Your job is to translate a prospect's lending challenges into a compelling, customized demonstration of Cync's platform - and make it feel effortless. You'll work alongside Account Executives to run discovery sessions, build tailored demos, and answer every technical and workflow question that stands between a prospect and a signed contract.
This is one of the highest-impact, highest-visibility entry points into a fintech career. You will gain deep exposure to commercial lending operations, enterprise SaaS sales cycles, and financial technology - faster than almost any other role. In-office immersion in your first year is a core part of how we develop talent at Cync.
What You'll Do- Partner with Account Executives on active deals at banks, credit unions, and specialty lenders - from first demo through final evaluation
- Run structured discovery sessions to uncover a prospect's current workflows, pain points, and decision criteria
- Configure and deliver customized product demonstrations of Cync Spreading, LOS, LMS, and AI-powered workflows tailored to each institution's lending products and processes
- Handle technical and workflow objections during live evaluations - from integration questions to data migration to regulatory compliance
- Build ROI narratives and business case materials that translate product capabilities into measurable value for bank executives
- Present at industry events, webinars, and prospect workshops
- Support sales team enablement - share demo scripts, objection-handling guides, and competitive positioning materials
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to feed real prospect feedback back into the roadmap
We're not looking for someone who already knows commercial lending or enterprise sales - we will teach you both. We are looking for:
- Recent graduate (0-2 years experience) with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong presentation and communication skills - you are comfortable owning a room and thinking on your feet
- Genuine curiosity about how financial institutions work and how software can improve them
- Structured thinking - you approach problems methodically and explain complex ideas clearly
- Competitive drive and self-motivation - you want to win and you know that preparation is how you do it
- Ability to commute to and work from our Herndon, VA office full time
- Prior internship or coursework in banking, credit analysis, financial modeling, or accounting
- Exposure to SaaS platforms, CRM tools, or enterprise software in any capacity
- Experience presenting to faculty, executives, or senior stakeholders in a professional or academic setting
- Solution Engineer to Senior Solution Engineer to Solutions Architect or Account Executive
Many of Cync's most effective sales leaders began in pre-sales. This role is a launchpad, not a landing spot.
