Starting/Initial base salary: $19.23–$43.26 per hour or $40,000–$90,000 per year.
Tenured base salary: $19.23–$52.88 per hour or $40,000–$110,000 per year, based on tenure and performance.
Commission- 50–150% of one month’s MRCs (monthly recurring charges)
- 1/12 of one‑time NRCs (non-recurring charges)
- 1/24 of Burst
- Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed regional sales territory through sourcing and hunting, targeting segments such as IP transit, content creators/hosters, carriers/wholesalers, and net‑centric companies.
- Use direct calling, email, and contact efforts to identify, qualify, and generate new business opportunities by working directly with key decision makers.
- Support prospecting and selling efforts with onsite customer meetings as needed.
- Employ consultative and relationship‑building selling techniques to identify current and future connectivity solutions.
- Position Cogent services for new business by leveraging the global network footprint that includes commercial and retail buildings, carrier‑neutral hotels, data centers, and colocation facilities.
- 3‑8+ years of solid B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with collocation, wholesale, and data transit and transport.
- Proven track record of success in direct hunting B2B sales and quota achievement.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through extensive prospecting and research.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
- Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and CRM systems is a plus.
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
This is an in‑office position five days a week to best support your success, allowing for focused mentorship, training, and personal coaching.
