Job Summary / Role Mission

The Account Manager is a critical role in our operation, as you will be serving as the face of our franchise. This is not about ‘sales’; more about building relationships; working within the local community to identify those who may be in need of our services. The ability to understand the client’s needs and tailor our services accordingly is required. Again, we do not want to “just make a sale” but find the solution that works best for their families during what can be a very sensitive time in their lives.

We encourage the following to apply including retirees, caretakers/caretaking employees, stay‑at‑home moms – those who want to make a difference in the lives of local seniors, their families and/or their estates. Ideal for those seeking part‑time/flexible work hours. This role includes on‑the‑job training/onboarding to ensure we are maintaining our best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with senior living facilities, real estate agents, and all other applicable communities in order to maintain and bolster the reputation of Caring Transitions of Northern Virginia as a trusted service provider and to generate new business.
  • Identify and pursue new inquiries and expand our reach to the fullest capacity within the territories that we service.
  • Schedule in‑person consultations (local travel required) to determine needs via a walk‑through of the estate; noting the client’s unique family situation, their timeline/plans, their boundaries etc.
  • Collaborate with our management team to develop a quote(s) for potential clients, offering our services as potential solutions during a challenging season of their lives.
  • Ensure all quotes meet our needs, budget, and staff availability, while maintaining the best solution for our client’s needs and budget, and availability.
  • Present quotes to our potential clients (via email/in‑person, etc.); being able to answer questions, and address any concerns they may have, adjusting said quotes as needed.
  • Follow up with families to ensure that they are satisfied with their services.
  • Provide up‑to‑date performance and progress reporting data to management on business development efforts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills interfacing with seniors and/or their estates.
  • Great listener and communicator; curious but never judgmental.
  • Believe that people matter!
Preferred Qualifications
  • Well traveled individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Comparable life experiences are desirable but not required.
  • Experience in sales and/or marketing is beneficial but not required.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base pay starts at $18/$20 + mileage and expenses.
  • The position also includes commission and bonuses in accordance with performance.
