Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Specialist – Used Parts to join our Customer Support Team in Herndon, Virginia. The role supports sales of used aircraft parts and related services to operators, lessors and repair shops. The specialist will help increase customer satisfaction by providing high‑quality responses to all spare‑parts related requests.

Responsibilities Primary responsibilities (75%)
  • Ensure adherence to Satair’s quality policy and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Engage in strategy development & implementation, executing the sales plan in partnership with Product Management
  • Plan, run and coordinate sales activity plans; drive sales campaigns and strategic developments with Product Management
  • Provide regular reporting updates on customers and the competitive landscape
  • Develop Satair Pte Ltd’s market position in used‑part management and report potential new distributorships
  • Establish accurate pricing policy to optimise profit
  • Meet the sales budget for the assigned area by evaluating total sales potential
  • Prepare quarterly sales reports and forecasts for the sales area
Secondary responsibilities (25%)
  • Coordinate relevant sales tasks between Satair departments and Product Management
  • Maintain client data records and provide market‑condition information to suppliers
  • Assist in customer meetings and ensure full support for used‑part orders
  • Manage internal order backlog, address complaints and follow up on customer requests with all relevant departments
  • Conduct account meetings with Sales, Support and other functions to share information and reduce issues
  • Measure and apply key performance indicators, produce order activity reports for customers, the account team and management

This role requires business travel up to 5%, both internationally and domestically.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Production or equivalent experience
  • 3+years of assigned territory sales experience
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, customer service and/or aviation industry
  • Technical and process‑oriented with ability to understand technical documentation and drawings
  • Knowledge of used‑parts ordering, planning, pricing and provisioning
  • Proficiency with G‑suite applications and SAP
  • Knowledge of shipping, including INCO terms and transportation of dangerous goods
  • Valid U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship not available
Physical Requirements
  • Onsite required 80%, remote 20%
  • Vision, hearing, speaking and equipment operation – able to use computers, phones, fax and office tools
  • Able to carry up to 30lb (14kg), lift up to 30lb, push/pull small office furniture, sit, stand and walk, including uneven surfaces
  • Required personal protective equipment: safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirator or mask, gloves as needed
